Wat Doi Mae Pang (near Chiang Mai, Thailand) is located about 30 minutes from Wat Pa Luang Phor Mun. It is located along the road of paddy fields.
Luang Phor Waen, a disciple of Luang Phor Mun, stayed in the temple until he passed away.
Above: Monk identification of Luang Phor Waen when he was young. This was obtained from the museum located in the monastery.

Is it possible to share how to get to Wat Doi Mae Pang? Deeply appreciated.
Hi, my apologies as I am also not a Thai and do not know how to go there. The previous time I went there, the abbot of a temple (www.methika.com) brought us there.
I went in March 2016.
Flew to Chiang Mai.
Stayed at Princess hotel.
Called a driver/tour guide to bring us up to Mae Pang.
Very famous but isolated temple.
Can spend a whole day there to meditate.
A must go for Pious meditator and forest sect followers.
Get a driver, starting from morning, go to Wat Doi Mae Pang, bout noon can go to Wat Sangkaew Pothiyan, Kruba Ariya Chat's temple. Come back to Chiang Mai, go to Wat Chaiyasathan at Sarapee District, then go to Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang in the town area..
After the trip, should be superbly inspired.. ^_^
